Lets talk Drafting a QB with our rd 1 pick. who you got?

why in God's name would we do that?

Jameis is a liability

Brees will still be much better than a first round Draft pick QB. We have much more pressing needs. Like Defense, like always. Would love to get another play maker WR.

Not saying this is a terrible idea....But the only way it is a decent idea is if we trade Drew and simply cut, actually trade him & get something in return & then we look at FA QB's and drafting one

If Drew continues this year as he has gone these first 6 games, then I don't see how anyone could argue against trading Brees and his salary to get players and/or picks in return

1) How many good QBs are available this year, Saitns will probably be low teens or high single digit draft pick. A franchise caliber QB won't be available at that slot.
2) Brees is still doing fine, sure he is starting to decline but he is still doing fine.
3) We have much more pressing needs especially on defense, fix those first.

If you are going to draft a QB, draft one in the later rounds taking a chance on a guy who may develop into a good QB. Don't waste a top 10 draft pick on a guy who may not play for a few years, and you aren't sure if he will be good.
