That's what I'm wondering also.....Announcer said it was man but the way he let his man go like that it looked to me like he was in zone in the flat and Bush was supposed to be over the top but Bush stepped up on the slot WR.......IDK for sure, but that's what it looked like to me....From what I saw I'd say at the least it was a miscommunication (still not good to have) and not just terrible coverage & effort on his part

Since the announcers are always right...

It was a zone; Bush and Corey were covering the same man at the front of the end zone. Obviously someone was supposed to drop back for that. It was a good play call.

Looked to me like SJB was only person playing zone. And even if they were in zone, you're not supposed to just step aside and let the guy go running free like that. You have to stay with him and hand him off to the next guy. SJB just got out the wr's way, and pointed to where he thought the safety would be.

That would be how holes are created in zone and isn't what you do at all. You can ride him for a step or two, but never leave your zone and that's what SJB did. My guess would be Bush was watching Stafford's eyes and jumped the hitch in the front of the endzone thinking Stafford was looking at that instead of the man in the back of the endzone. It's hard to point fingers at anyone on this play. Could be Bush/White for not covering the back, and it could be SJB for not calling the slant in the back of the endzone.

Either way I assure you that was not man coverage.

With the way white looked to see what Fuller to his left was doing, it was most likely whites zone

You can bump him within 5 yards but you can only stay with him while he's in your zone or else you'll leave your zone open

Someone please show me where I said you leave your zone. In zone, you hand the guy off to the next zone area. How small do you guys think a player's zone is?

I can tell you one thing for certain, you definitely don't get out the guy's way without touching him, and let him go right past you.

That completely depends on what you're trying to prevent with your zone. If you bump your guy and you have the back corner, you're giving it up right there. If your job is to cover the flats, you might now want to let him get his hands on you

He peeled off to the back after and is watching the QB. Absolutely no rush either

I think Bush messed it up
