Good, I said it was cold blooded murder from the start.

When Lucy McBath stood before a judge Friday and said she forgave Michael Dunn for murdering her 17-year-old son, Dunn nodded slightly toward her from the defendant's table.
What emotions did McBath see in Dunn's face?
"Nothing. I didn't see any remorse. I didn't see any humility. And that's why I feel so saddened for him, because he has emptiness inside of him," McBath told reporters outside the Duval County Courthouse, minutes after Dunn was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
"And that's what he will live with for the rest of his life," McBath said.
Circuit Judge Russell Healey sentenced the 47-year-old South Patrick Shores software developer for killing Jordan Davis during their November 2012 argument sparked by loud rap music at a Jacksonville gas station.
quote:
During both trials, Dunn testified that Davis was holding a shotgun or stick-like weapon, and he opened fire because he feared his life was in danger. But police said no gun or weapon was found in the Durango.
Healey also sentenced Dunn to 30 years in prison for each attempted murder count, plus a 15-year concurrent sentence for shooting or throwing deadly missiles.
As of Friday, Dunn had served 692 days behind bars. Wearing an orange short-sleeved inmate jumpsuit with his hands and legs shackled, he apologized during his sentencing hearing.
"I want the Davis family to know that I truly regret what happened. I'm sorry for their loss. And if I could roll back time and do things different, I would. I was in fear for my life, and I did what I felt I had to do," Dunn said, bending forward to speak into a podium microphone.

I always thought any sentence on top of life is a joke. He get's life + four 30 year sentences and a fifteen year sentence.
But he already has life without parole.

In addition to being in prison for the rest of his life, he should be incessantly forced to listen to rap music at a volume of 10 .

put him in a Cell with Young Turk and C-murder and have them all write lyrics and rap the whole time

I am more sympathetic to the shooter than most. Oh, he got what he deserved--30 years for killing someone in the heat of an altercation is probably about typical. Regardless of what offensive thing someone else does, you can't pull out a gun and start shooting. He deserves to spend a long time in jail for killing another person.
But offensive the victim's action surely was. I have seen several near violent altercations occur over someone driving into a gas station or convenience store blasting music that others find offensive. When asked to turn the music off or down, the reaction from the person playing the music is usually to f*** off. I get it--when you go out into the public, you will see and hear all kind of things that are offensive or unpleasant. But there is a line, and the line was crossed by the young victim of this shooting. That doesn't mean he deserved to get shot, but he did set himself up for an altercation that, unfortunately, got out of control.
In one instance I was pumping gas when a person playing very loud rap music drove in and parked at a nearby pump. A minute later another person pulled in at the next pump. The second person asked the first person to turn off the music, saying that none of the other 10 or so people pumping gas wanted to hear that music. An altercation ensued that could have escalated into violence. The day was saved with a police siren from an unmarked car parked at one of the pumps. An African-American plain cloths police office happened to have pulled in just a moment earlier. The office told the rap aficionado that he had heard the music as he was driving down the street toward the gas station and that the rap lover was in violation of city noise ordinances. Further the officer said that he could turn down the music or be prepared to show ID and subject himself to further police action. The situation quickly diffused and all was well with the world. Had it not been for that officer, I do not know that this situation would not have escalated to violence.

Good, Dunn is the very definition of tPOS. He popped a cap in someone's arse because they dissed him.

"one count of shooting or throwing deadly missiles." Well there is the extra 30 years, who knew you could have missles in FL.

He will.
When inmates find out who he is and why he is there he will enjoy a lifetime of free-style inmate rap.

good
he shoots them, leaves to go back to his hotel room, not calling the cops about the incident and instead orders a pizza, realizes what he did is on TV, and bails to go back to home of residence which is two/three hours away.
frick him

Thats why if someone is playing music very loudly like that and its annoying you, its best to just ignore and walk away.. Guaranteed that confronting the individuals will almost NEVER end good
Unless youre at home, then you should call the police

This.
I am annoyed & even startled by excessively loud motorcycles, trucks & muscle cars modified intentionally to be very loud. I say nothing because I don't own the store/highway.
In a public place its none of my business other than complaining to the store owner. One can only warn that if he allows the loud music , motorcycles, ,etc.....to continue unchecked I (and my friends & family) will do business elsewhere.
The guy I believe owned a successful IT business ? Thrown away for nothing.

Geez. Really? Go live in Pakistan, China or some other garden spot then. I love when people use the freedoms afforded them by this country to bitch about it.
