I can't help but chuckle at the dog cameo in that episode every time.

Dude, my mom calls me to fix her computer on a Tuesday. Go there and it's working. I go visit my maw maw and we're talking and she asks if I'm ok (going through a divorce) and I tell her I'm ok. So she asks if she needs to worry about me anymore and I tell her no. The next day she passed away. If my mom's computer hadn't freaked out I wouldn't have seen her that last time. But it's episodes like game of tones that make me appreciate the moments I had with her.

damn dude. I certainly feel for you. And in a way I kind of know what you are going through

If my GF hadn't broken up with me I would have been in Virginia (i'm in La) when she passed. shite likes that make you think. It's crazy how things work out like that.

My dad passed away in December at the age of 50 unexpectedly. He had just finished all of his Christmas shopping for me and my kids. He was very close to my 7 and 5 year old. We saw him 3 or 4 times a week. I haven't lived more that 3 miles away from my dad my entire life. This year has been very tough for me and my family.

One morning out of the blue I wake up and my wife is on the phone with my step mother crying. I knew immediately what had happened. Heart attack.

I remember the day of the funeral I had to help set him up in his casket. I got there, broke down and couldn't do it. I had to give the eulogy later and I somehow made it through.

My dad and I were best friends, honestly. We watched every LSU game together, we fished together, and we played Fantasy Football together. I understand yall's loss and I feel for you.

My dad is a bit of a hard arse in the sense that he never really shows emotion except telling his kid loves them.

Well my paw paw had cancer, got rid of it and it came back and finally took him in '05. I was at my paw paws the night be passed. I was sleeping over and my dad told me "go home he's not ready yet" so I went home. He died that night and I was so pissed at my dad because he made me leave. Turns out my paw paw just didn't want me to see him like that and remember him like that. He was my best friend. I was 17 and still sleeping at his house he was awesome.

Anyway the next morning my dad comes in my room and hugs me and starts crying. I was brought back, he told me he was tired of being strong for everyone else. That hit me just as hard. The only other time I saw him cry was at my maw maws funeral (his mother in law). He treated her like his own mom.

It feels good to know that I'm not alone sometimes. People go through these tragedies every day. My brothers and I are not very close (I have two of them). They both have their own way to grieve. Plus we never spoke much before all this happened. That's one thing I will teach my kids to never do. Stay close to you're brothers. Always. Thank God my wife and kids are here to get me through.

Nothing you care about.

ETA: Unless you've got something to share.
