Can Anyone Recommend A Selfie Stick

The GF and I are going on vacation in a few weeks. I'm tired of having pictures of either her or I, but rarely us together and of taking selfies where the background is not visible.
Someone suggested I get a selfie stick or monopod. Sounds good to me. None of them seem to get a majority of good reviews on Amazon though.
Ive got a Nexus 5 and don't really care if the stick has a remote shutter, Bluetooth etc. I can just set the timer on my phone. I just need a simple stick to hold the phone out.
