Just watched GI Joe the 2nd movie...My take away

1) The first movie was total shite.
2) This version was pretty badass. Just so much more enjoyable to watch
3) Jane was a smoke show.
4) Snake Eyes and Shadow were bad motherfrickers.
5) The prison were Cobra Commander was seemed a bit light on security
The main takeaway is two fold...
1) Having Rock and Bruce Willis in the movie takes it up a notch....
2) Is there any question The Rock is the action adventure star of the present?
The Rock just kicks arse IMO. On par with a prime Arnold IMO.
Either way, a vast improvement from the first Joe movie.

No, they both play 'themselves' for sure.
But don't discount Arnold during his prime. The Terminator was a legit character.
Either way, The Rock is very good at what he does.

He is horribly bad in both of those. And he's a bad arse in Kindergarten cop. That's kind of the point. He's supposed to be a tough guy who has to be a teacher.

You just derailed your own thread with this comment.
Even if these two actors are equals, the roles Arnold played puts him way above the Rock...Predator, Terminator, Conan, etc
The Rock needs some iconic characters to get on the level of Arnold.

I absolutely loathed and hated the first GI Movie.
The 2nd one however was extremely well done I really got into it. I think the removal of certain actors from the first one made it seem much more serious.

No offense, but there have been very little movies released in the last ten years that were bigger shite shows than the second GI Joe movie. Saying it was an improvement over the first is like saying you took a solid shite over diarrhea.

I couldn't even make it all the way through the 2nd one. It was beyond horrible. I can't believe people liked it. It had nothing to do with GI Joe, other than some of the same names..

Also did well in Gridiron gang, better than anything Arnold tried to pull off that wasn't action based
