I typically don't answer the door on Halloween. My dogs hate anyone that doesn't love under this roof. We make sure we aren't home on Halloween.

I like to give out rare candies that kids nowadays don't even know exist: Whatchamacallit, Skor, Zots, etc.
I remember when I was a kid one guy on my street gave out Susan B. Anthony dollars each year.

Kids feel safe with their grandparents. Give them candy that reminds them of their grandparents: weathers, Riesens, peanut brittle, Chico sticks, and black licorice

I slipped my neighbor's kid an old stale It's a Boy Cigar. His dad(friend of mine)called me after checking over the boy's candy and finding the cigar.
