iPhone 6 Plus...what's the best (fastest) way to obtain one

After a month of deciding, finally set on wanting a Plus. (Sprint, 64gb, space grey). I don't expect to have this in my hand today (or the next month really) so what's my best way to go about ordering? Apples site? Best buy? Sprint? Or should I call around and hopefully luck out?
Again, I'm not expecting one in my hands till November at the earliest but would like to cut down the time as much as possible.

You're in luck with Sprint. Their wait times aren't nearly as bad, but that's because nobody wants sprint as their carrier. It'll still be a month though more than likely. And I've read the specific model you want is the top seller(also the model I'm waiting on from Verizon).

Only other suggestion is to stop buy BestBuy and Radio Shacks looking for returns. I stumbled into a returned 6 plus for the wife yesterday ( ATT) but it was only a 16 gig and that does me no good.

Not sure your location, but I am in BR like I would assume a majority of posters are. What worked for me was just checking apple.com at about 7am (seems to be when the inventory updates) and see if your selected model is available for pick up at the Apple store near you. I found the space gray for att available, and went to the store for 8:15 or so. There were already about 4 people waiting, all wanting 6 plus for att, and the line expanded to about 15 people by open at 10. Everyone that wanted one was able to buy, some did get regular 6's though. The rep said it completely varies, but USUALLY they get about 10 units when they do get a delivery, but it isn't everyday like the phone support will try and tell you.
Best bet is apple store from what I found searching for about a week. Just check early and get there early.

Yeah I've been doing that but around 8:30am or so. I'ma try the 7am. Just hard when I work 8-5 M-F.

I ordered a space grey 128GB 6 plus on Sept 23 through apple's site. Until yesterday, it said "processing" with a delivery date of Oct 22-29.
Yesterday it changed to "preparing for shipment". Hopefully I get it by Tuesday.
