Do y'all carry anything different than your pocket knife for hunting/ camping? Fixed blade?
I'm looking at USMC Ka-Bar just because I've always wanted one.

Don't hunt much, but if I'm heading into the woods I carry an old timer like this one in a leather sheath. It's also my front door knife.

Esee 3 MIL on my side and a Boker Trapper in my pocket.

ESEE 3 is my all around camp knife. Although for a folder, my Emerson CQ7 gets a fair amount of work.

Hard to beat the old school ka-bar

Cold steel master hunter with the carbon blade.
Look up the videos... You can't break it and it holds a great edge.
I've opened up commercial size cans of corn with that thing and then sliced meat and veges. Never missed a beat.
Had to filet a redfish with it a couple times too....

ESEE Izula
Thats a pic of one like mine with a para-cord wrapped handle. Instructions on you tube if you want to do that.
Its held up great. I have had it for years and its been a great little knife.

Use the same folder as in the other thread and will also have this on me:
Puukko
Originally got it just "because" when I found out I had some Finnish blood, but it's turned out to be the best all-around sheath knife in the woods I've ever used.

I like pocket knives and folding knives a good deal, but every year I find myself gravitating more and more to having a fixed blade knife on my hip. Here are two of the more common knives I carry.
Kissing Crane
Cold Steel "Roach Belly"
