not at all. our team is a ways off from peaking. who knows how long but until our offense can actually get plays off on a timely basis and the WR's run the correct routes, the OL blocks the right people and the QB can get comfortable and hit some receivers we are not a passing threat. no passing threat means tough times.
In fairness, our last 2 SEC games were in very hostile environments. I expect that the passing game will improve significantly this weekend at home. If not, then yes, we are in trouble the rest of the way. I'd expect some of the jitters to be gone, or at least lessened. I said this before Florida, but I think the schedule sets up perfectly for LSU. Get a road win over Florida, come back on and continue to build on that confidence with another win over KY.....then two more games in a row at home against Ole Miss and Bama.........these freshmen are growing up....right before our eyes....

What sticks with me is the monkeydick responses that want to make sure the OP is aware of how bad LSU is.
I really hate some of your perspectives on the team you supposedly love. Many of you taking your interests elsewhere would actually benefit this team.
ETA: Hey, I understand if you don't feel the same way as the OP and even state it. BUT, no need to be a frick about it.

if we had a decent quarterback.
Again, in fairness, LSU hasn't had the easiest of road yet.....Jennings makes second career start against now #1 MSU.....then on the road in a very hostile environment for Harris/Jennings against Auburn....then, on the road again in another very loud, hostile environment against a pretty good D at Florida.
Obviously, we have to get much better play out of the QB position.....but I think having three straight home games, with this "tune-up" against Ky, is just what the "Dr" ordered...no pun intended.

I hope some of you optimistic posters are correct.

Well it does make a little sense right, that we would play better at home? Hell, as bad as the MSU game was for most of the game, we were a completed pass from winning that game against what is now the #1 team in the country. People keep saying we got absolutely destroyed...but however you slice it up.....if Harris connects on the final play of the game....LSU wins....and I think Les was right about the end also....if we had had even 30 more seconds.....LSU may have won the game anyway.

LSU should play better at home. With a veteran team, I do not think home or away makes a big difference. Playing as many young guys as LSU does, being at home is more meaningful.

We've beat nobody this year but shitty teams. Team is young, coaching is below par, and strategy/philosophy is flawed.

and poster is a knee-jerking, over-reacting, douchebag who absolutely has no clue what he is talking about and every rational fan that reads this site knows it......so there is that....seriously, you are top 10 to top 20 least respected poster on this site, and that is saying a lot.
Can you imagine if LSU had a good coach with a good philosophy......instead of 100-26 under miles.....hell, do you think it is possible we could be 120-6, or so, while playing in the SEC? Can you imagine....if our coach had the slightest brain, he would go down as one of the greatest coaches EVER....

truth hurts....you are probably/possibly an ok guy....but the reality is that you are a horrible poster, and come across on this board as completely clueless, and a big-time over-reactor.

That may require letting Jennings take some shots very early on and if he throws the pick, put Harris in (if he's available)... either way the defense will do enough to keep it close, but some aggressive playcalling could mean the difference between a squeaker and a confidence-boostin', swag-creatin', fanbase-lovin' slapdown of a bunch of 3 star wannabe's...

So serious question, do you negatigers lurk and wait for anything positive LSU, and then come in blazing? Is that your goal in life, to shite on anything positive LSU? Do you think you are cute? Smart? Right? You are none of those....but then you don't care....If LSU beats Ky and then Ole Miss, you will just be saying Ole Miss was over-rated....and wait until the next loss to go off again.

You nailed it bro. They live for this shite. I feel bad for any family they have.

Seriously, I really doubt anyone says Ole Miss is overrated if we beat them, especially after they took down the Gumps... Not even the most sadistic fan...
