Heading to New York in December for 3 nights and trying to make a dining plan. Has anyone done the tasting menus at Atera and/or Brooklyn Fare?

We would like to do one of these one night, Jung Sik one night and then some sushi omakase other than Masa one night.

I think the somm at atera is still Scott Cameron, a buddy of mine from Baton Rouge. The menu looks stellar and he has a hell of a palate. The pairings would be too notch.

Go read what Ozersky has to say about Atera and see if that helps make your decision

I have not been able to find that review, do you have a link? I tend to put less stock in Ozersky's articles.

"People call me contrarian or a troll or whatever, and I will admit that I tend to have polarizing opinions". I would call him contrarian and a curmudgeon. He is like the hipster who only thinks unknown bands are great.

He hyped gunshow in Atlanta over multi-starred NY places. I have been to Gunshow and twice to Woodfire, I don't find Kevin Gillespie to be an exceptional talent, but it's a slightly different concept and taste than what is being done in NY so he garners excessive praise.

Have not been to either one but my buddy did a stage @ Battersby and says it's top notch.
