I like to get some good sausage and boudin to throw on the grill every now and then. I dont always have time to cross the atchafalaya to get the good stuff. Is there anything good in BR? I hear good things about Bergerons in PA.

I've said many times that I really enjoy Bergeron's smoked boudin. Some folks really like it. Others don't love it. I can't recall seeing anyone post that it was bad. I think some might prefer others in other parts of the state, but for the BR area, it's quite good.

I've bought the smoked chicken wings and they're great. I've also bought the smoked partially cooked ribs that you finish at home. I don't think I've paid attention to any other smoked meats. I'm not sure what they have. I don't recall that I've had the sausage, but I may have. If the smoked flavor is anything like the wings or the ribs, I'll enjoy it.

Tiger sausage from Chris' specialty meats is fantastic. It is not smoked, it is raw and you cook it on the grill. You will not be disappointed.

Bergeron's, no doubt. Their smoked boudin is seriously legit.

Ronnies or Bergeron's

That is really your only options here. Poche's is decent, but I don't care for it.

Bergeron's.

It's not a coincidence so many people have said it already.

Bellue's is my favorite in Baton Rouge. Some of the best hot lunches in town.
