Katrina/Rita Exposure Registry - any reason to give them time?

We lived in a FEMA camper for 8 or so months and for the entire time my wife was pregnant. Seems like a good data point if you were doing a study, but I'm not sure IGAF enough or even want to put blame on something for my situation. I mean, what's it for? Is it to blame some future problem on the housing the government provided for us? I was in need and I got help, boy that'd be dick of me to complain about it. No?

Answering the questions on the survery doesn't mean you are complaining.

You should answer in the affirmative to anything that gives you ammo in your future lawsuit you TPOS

So a feeler to see if there's a class action lawsuit for some group of lawyers?

I think the only ones that had the problems were the cheap non-travel trailers. You could always spot the difference. My Fema reailer had pop outs and was really set up to be on the road. My neighbors had a standard fridge, no 12-115v adapters/inverters, no pop outs, no holding tanks..etc. Those all had the "smell" to them.
I actually wanted to buy mine. Kind of upset that it's probably just rotting in a field somewhere.

Most likely. After the lawyers get their cut, you'll probably end up with about $3. Not sure if taking that money prevents you from taking further independent action against FEMA, trailer manufacturer, etc.

Well is it from the Government or a marketing or law firm?

I read your thread but I don't have a fricking clue what you are saying

No, no at all. It's a health survery administered by the government.

We had thE shitty white one with no holding tank or road worthiness. First time it rained I had to go outside and adjust the anchors since it was raining inside all along one side. I adjusted it and it was fine after that, only rained outside. It really was shitty, but fricking a I didn't have a house. The sharp edges all over the fricker hurt us more than the chemicals. Falling into the cheap bench seats while eating dinner sucked as well.

It was free right? Sounds crappy but at least you and your pregnant wife had a safe? place to stay.

They are/were thousands of them sitting in a field at the airport here in DeRidder. Robert Kite at Kite RV had sold thousands of them and the park model mobile homes after Rita and Katrina to FEMA then bought thousands of them all back for pennies on the dollar. He was holding auctions to sell them off but the market got saturated really fast so he has had them in storage and is selling them a bit slower not to ruin the market.

No shite, and I was able to keep my job at NASA and work on my house in the evenings. They put it in my front yard so we were 'at home' as well.

What he said. We are nine years in and people are still trying to collect on FEMA trailers?

Wait, you had a job? And you were fixing your home?
Fck me, all I ever read on this board is that katrina hurt lazy black folks and nobody did work on their own.
When a one day flood on the upper Mississippi hit or a snow storm, those people pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and took care of their shite.

Health study? I got nothing. frick, after 8 years at LSU I just blame everything that's wrong with me on that.

Your answers really help even if you don't see it. You should definitely participate if your are eligible. And answer honestly.

That's funny. No shite, pulling the damn drywall and insulation, all the damn glued down flooring up, scraping all of the popcorn off the ceilings...I'm sure that was all real healthy.
