Seems completely stable to me. Haven't had an issue yet

Anyone else on it?

Like most OS versions, the numbers don't really tell the version history. They went from 8 to 8.1, then to 10. It doesn't really matter. Just a new version.

It is a beta... Like one year early beta, so don't start ripping it if your PC crashes doing your QuickBooks updates.

It is meant to be out there so we can all comment on different features.

I worked for Sage(owners of Peachtree Acct.) during the Vista launch, this comment made me bust out laughing

No one should be using the technical preview on a machine that has anything important on it.

I just upgraded, didn't do a fresh install.

It really is just Windows 8 (which wasn't really different than Windows 7) with more options and the start menu back. It is incredibly efficient using system resources so far though

The start menu looks really good and the metro app window feature is a big improvement.

Metro is gone now if you don't want it.

I agree. I have all my important data backed up. I'm using it on my desktop at home

I've had zero issues over the last few days

I might mess with it on a VM today. I did the same with Windows 8, but post-release, and it turned me off of 8 for a solid 2 years.

What brought you back to it?

8.1, and the desire to get more familiar with it so that I could be sure that any guides or tutorials I write or support offered would be applicable to both 7 and 8.
