Another day, another story about the dream fight that has yet to happen.
While Manny Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, recently said that a super fight against Floyd Mayweather was possible for next year, it appears Mayweather’s camp also believes that the match will happen.
In a recent interview with fighthype.com, Floyd Mayweather, Sr., father and on-again-off-again trainer to the champion, confirmed that the Mayweather/Pacquiao match is confirmed.
“It’s gonna happen. That fight’s gonna happen. Trust me.”
If you’re feeling skeptical, it’s certainly justified, particularly when Floyd Sr. adds that he has never spoken to his son about this:
“[I'll] tell you right now, he never told me the fight’s gonna happen, but … the fight’s gonna happen.”

Before others post here and say otherwise. . .
I, for one, still want this fight more than any other. I will still pay $70 to see this fight. It is still the biggest fight possible in boxing, no matter what anyone says.

Might as well be billed as the fight that happened years too late. Pacquiao is washed up.

I've never paid to watch a fight and have just watched online streams but would pay to watch this fight. Hopefully it happens but is a few years too late.

Will still watch, but this could have been the biggest gate of all time 5 years ago.

Exactly. Floyd ducked Manny and now wants to fight him when he's old. Smart people saw this from the beginning.

I haven't cared about boxing since Roy Jones Jr. fought Ruiz. Did I miss anything really?

I'll watch, but I'm not paying that to see it.

Would pay $100 for the fight (split with friends). I could easily see them charging it. Most hyped fight since when? Even with neither at their prime, I'd love to see Floyd's career end with a loss to the man he was scared to fight

I wouldn't put 1 penny of my hard-earned money into the pocket of Floyd Mayweather.

$10,000 from you isn't even a penny to Floyd, but ok
I'm paying to see Pac drop his arse

Don't care. Too late. At this point it would just be another expertly-chosen fight served up for Mayweather to pad his record.

I wanted it about 7 years ago.
Mayweather waiting for another legend to be on his way out sounds about right though.

Senator Pacquiao is ready to fight at any time.

I'll watch but it's way too late.
FMM would have beat Pac 5 years ago. He'll beat him next year.

On a completely unrelated note, have you checked out UFC Fight Library (through UFC Fight Pass)?
