Just heard on Anderson Cooper.

LINK

There were no CDC protocols and when they did issue them they were constantly changing. Was that Obama I heard last week telling the CDC Director, "Good job"?

Nurses in the Dallas hospital blowing the whistle on CDC to union leaders. I guess that union bovine scatology is out the window when your life is on the line.

Kelly is nailing him. Frieden is incompetent.

Bloomberg's boy. Too bad that was pre taped and not live. It'd have been worse.

California does.

It is fought tooth and nail in Texas. Other states do as well. Basically anywhere that there is not a nursing shortage has unions.

The cdc guidelines for nurses in the US is not what the cdc goes by when their "boots are on the ground". They follow more hazmat looking suit protocols.

Most hospitals PPE equipment is suitable to protect from MRSA not Ebola. In 14 years I have never seen or been trained on the type of equipment used by people treating Ebola. Patients properly.

I am typically anti-Union but this is one of those circumstances where there is no obvious over-reach at all. They are advocating directly for the safety of their members.

That's odd because I found some:

I'm not gonna lie, from what I've been hearing, it is amazing how unprepared our hospitals are for this.

We've grown complacent over the past decades because of our good fortune.

This is a healthy learning experience for us.

By the way R-Bot. I saw the video and read the article. This is an indictment against the hospital, NOT the CDC.

The hospital didn't have any protocol in place.

The hospital left the patient in a common area for several hours before the head nurse demanded he be put in isolation.

The hospital used a general means to transport blood samples which puts that whole system (and the laboratory workers) at risk

The hospital had no plan for hazardous waste.

The hospital told the nurses to put tape around their neck since they didn't have the right protective gear.

Leave it to someone on this board to read all of that and blame the CDC.

How can they issue none of them?
