Trackfan - Were you still registered in both states? Or did you suspend your home state registration? I don't think you are allowed to be registered in more than one state. I suspect you did not go to the voter registration office in your home state and rescind your registration. You prove the point that voter fraud is real.

Willy nilly? So you trust university officials to confer on students a degree which they can parlay into gainful employment in very specialized fields, but you don't trust these same officials to give out ID's to its students?

They are not a form of state id.

By definition, student ID's for state universities and colleges ARE state ID's despite your inability to accept it.

I only voted in the state I attended college in, not Louisiana. I remember the school holding voter registration drives and the majority of the students were from other states also.

EDIT: I really don't think the average college student is so obsessed with politics that he/she would scheme to vote in two different states at the same time, and to be honest, my next beer was more important to me than my next vote back in those days.

But, you were still registered in both states to vote. Meaning it would be very easy to vote twice. Thanks for proving our point.

College IDs issued by Texas public colleges are in no, way, shape or form proof of citizenship. Foreigners get college IDs, man.

Not quite sure how voter ID laws would have stopped him.

The state of Texas does not issue drivers licenses to noncitizens. HTH.

Let me clarify that. Illegals don't get drivers licenses in Texas, and noncitizens here legally get DLs that look like this:

Although I wouldn't put it past Texas to do something so moronic has to not allow legal non-citizen residents to drive, it appears you are incorrect.

See above. A Texas drivers license that is not marked "temporary visitor" is definitive proof of U.S. citizenship. End of story.

So basically - you're afraid of a bunch of foreign graduate students voting in your elections?

Once again, for the slow-witted... a Texas college ID issued by a public school is NOT proof of citizenship, and can be obtained by a foreigner. Therefore, it won't work to prove citizenship to vote.

Sounds like a great way to reduce the number of eligible college students who vote.

Good strategy.

Not all college students at the University of Texas are American citizens....

"Sure, honey, no problem."

Notice that one form of ID that's not included on this list is student ID's for public colleges and universities. What could possibly be the motivation of folks who don't want college students to vote but do want gun owners to vote?

Most school IDs, other than being uncontrolled, also don't have an address or some kind of geographical lock.

All other forms listed, do.
