So if I understand this correctly, the autopilot is a software update??

So Model S's that are already on the road can update their software and have autopilot?

Wow

That's my idea of acceleration. When the driver warns to "press your head back against the headrest" before he hits the gas. Wow.

BUT they need to at least add a sound synthesizer so you can make roaring V-8 sounds when you take off.

well if you stop every four hours and bring a long extension cord you should be fine.

The auto pilot was a little creepy. Would take a while to trust that thing.

It certainly has limitations, but it's still an incredible car. Truthfully, you won't be able to drive 200 miles in hot/cold weather... Cold weather in particular will drop the range. If you take long road trips you're probably going to need another car, unless your trip is in California.

i'm sure it's not legal yet but the technology is impressive. Reading speed limit signs is pretty cool.

don't know where I read it - Tesla inventor/producer bought two battery plants and has their r&d working on a battery with a range on 400 miles.
