If Houma got the rain this weekend like we did in Thibodaux stay home. That place stays wet and doesn't drain well

First big presentation for my thesis today. At least it's just about putting greens. Makes it easier to talk about.

anybody know anything about a scramble at Greystone on Sunday? I was just invited to play in it. $95/person. Is it worth the drive to Denham?

frick! That's one thing that pisses me off about GS. They don't even let members know about upcoming tournaments on the course. They send out this shitty calendar of events and all it has is the recurring weekly "events" like Thurs afternoon scramble and card night. WTF!

I called up this past Sat morning to see what was available for that afternoon...All booked up with some private tournament.

For those of you who belong to other clubs, do they make it a habit of scheduling private (non-member) tournaments on weekends?

Regardless, it would be nice if they would put out an easily acessible schedule so you don't have to sift thru individual days on their online "tee sheet".

Update: I just checked the calendar. NOTHING listed for Sunday. Men's Golf Assoc 6-6-6 tournament on Saturday.

The Bluffs has been the same way lately, closing the range with no warning, tournaments with no heads up to members. How in the world, do you have the balls pulled off the range at 145 on a Sunday? One little bag at a time form the Pro Shop is horse crap.

Net-tastic, It's a shame that our practice facilities there have been turned into absolute crap. I am hoping that they can get some more members up there, and maybe pump some money into the practice areas.

The tournament is listed on the tee sheet as "Live Oak Cheerleaders"....Everything from 11:30 on is reserved. That's bullshite in my opinion.

I like driving up there. The community is a great place.
Y'all's course isn't far off. The range should be longer.
Couple of greens need to be fixed.
Clubhouse is bad ace.

Thanks. Spending 8 hours a day writing about the subject has given me a pretty good grasp, so I hope I will be able to nail the presentation and handle any questions after.

the greens are coming back, but they have got to improve the Practice facilities. They had to destroy chipping green in order to try and save a couple of greens. I think it's just the lack of proper maintenance for a while has caught up, they really have to open up the check books to get her back up and running

It sucks but it's part of being a community golf course, not to mention it brings in players that may not play there too often, which can create new play and new members

In a perfect world, all tournaments would be on weekdays but weekend afternoons aren't quite as bad as mornings at least
