How long until UT regains it's spot as the best team in Texas?

This year will be rough obviously with The Purge, but I think they will be very successful in the near future.

Out of all the Texas schools they have:
Best campus
Best winning tradition
Most money

IMO Baylor and TCU will fall off soon, leaving the door open for Texas to take over. I think Strong's tactics will win a lot of parents over, and kids will want to play there because it's Texas

Disclaimer: I have hated UT for over 20 years

I don't think Baylor or TCU falls...rather than Texas just ascends. If any team is destined for a 'fall' in that state...I say Texas A&M...and by fall I mean to the depths of 8-5 or 9-4 consistently,

Texas is behind A&M in facilities right now. Parents might like discipline, but players like barber shops and jerseys.

I should have clarified, I don't mean fall off completely. I just meant Texas will improve to their usually success and Baylor/TCU realistically won't stay in the top 10 consistently

And no drug tests. And partying with DJs instead of practice

shite, even as a Texas fan, it's impossible to argue that A&M doesn't have the best facilities in Texas. High school kids will eat all of that shite up.

Although i do think we'll be a 9 win team next year, provided Swoopes can continue to improve or Heard lives up to the hype. Just too many things to overcome this year.

Plus, Kevin will leave for the NFL after this year. Or he's a terrible coach who will be exposed. No one can ever find common ground on that

My bad, I forgot how much A&M spent recently on facilities. I removed that part.

This year will be rough, but the future is very bright. Strong is someone you can build a program with

Then they get arrested and kicked off the team

Smart Aggie strategy

They have been surpassed by A&M in about every category. Doubt they get that back.

It's the risk you take to maintain your status as #4 in the west

No. Kevin doesn't hold any of his players accountable and will do anything to keep them available. That will for sure hurt a&ms recruiting

They won't have the monopoly on Texas like they did in years past with Sumlin/Briles/Patterson around. Those days are over, for now.

You guys have recruiting on lock right now forsure. I just think Texas has a lot better chance to consistently be a top 2 team in the Big 12 than A&M does to be top 4 in SEC

Not a knock on A&M, just the reality of it

And the fact that we are in the SEC and they aren't destroys any chance they have. Baylor won the conference last year and we went 4-4 in the SEC. Who do you think is still perceived as the top program in the state? Not to mention strong was a bad hire

There's a difference between a team like Baylor that wins because of a stud QB and a team like Texas with a history of winning

And to say they have no chance is comical
