Just found out a family friend's step son committed suicide tonight

A few hours ago while in his mom and step dad's driveway. Terrible and I don't know circumstances but my God suicide is just a terrible, terrible thing to deal with when someone close does it.
I lost a close friend to suicide years ago and I don't wish that on my worst enemy. Hearing about this brought it all back for me and now I can't sleep.
If you are contemplating suicide, please don't do it. Seek help from family or friends. I promise you many, many people will miss you deeply and be very upset forever.

Very tragic. I read where suicide is a leading cause of death of young people. That is a very sad thing.

My dad did it in 2010.It sucks.They dont realize the pain they are causing the ones they leave behind.

I lost one of my best friends in High School to suicide. She had it all and to this day nobody knows why she did it. T&P sent to the family. I know how tough that is to deal with

Not sure. He had children though. Maybe 40s?

That is so sad. They don't care in that position. My best friend did it a year ago. Left behind two sons and his wife. I'll never get over it.

I think about it EVERYDAY.He did it after dinner on the night before Thanksgiving 2010.We were at our camp.My wife,mom,and kids were there.He had dinner and went to the back room and eased the door shut.That was it.I will never forget seeing him laying there with his eyes wide open like that.

I'm so sorry for your loss, man. Nobody should ever go through that. Especially with a parent. Just know that he wasn't thinking straight. Blinded by irrational thoughts and mindset. People who take their own lives are usually not in a clear state of mind.

As you should. It is so fricking terrible. My friend tried to not be found. Shot himself through his head in the Mississippi River near Clarksdale, MS. The tragedy was his younger brother, mom and dad did the same. I can't explain the pain. I'm so sorry for your loss.

That's crazy. My mother killed herself the day after Thanksgiving that same year. It is definitely something you never truly get over.

Guys I think I need to clarify I didn't know the guy. I just know his parents. It just hit home for me because it brought back all the feelings of when my friend killed himself a few years back. I almost felt like I needed to come here to give a public service announcement of sorts.
