Obama Factor in 2014 Vote Similar to 2010
As in 2010, more say they will vote to oppose rather than support him
by Jeffrey M. Jones

PRINCETON, NJ -- Registered voters are more likely to view their choice of candidate in this year's midterm elections as a message of opposition (32%) rather than support (20%) for President Barack Obama. That 12-percentage-point margin is similar to what Gallup measured for Obama in 2010 and George W. Bush in 2006, years in which their parties performed poorly in the midterm elections.

Obama approval = 39%; Disapproval = 57% ( LINK)

Bush was 37% at this point

...only proves that 39% of the US population is either insane or just fricking stupid.

He is going to turn over a new leaf and STOP being a disingenuous, dishonest asshat and START being a competent leader?

I look forward to that

Once people see what a shitshow it will be with republicans running things, they will see that the president has the best way forward.

This is after five years of Media support for Obama and five years of Media blame for Bush.
Wonder what his numbers would be if the press had been negative toward "O".

Harry Reid has left so much on the table that the GOP actually has a shot at making a difference. E.g., tax reform, domestic job performance/employment, border security, immigration reform, etc.

Broadly popular solutions are available for all of these.
Assuming he loses the majority, Reid's really screwed the pooch.

Like the score of the LSU-Florida game this weekend...somewhere in the negatives.

Meh...Republicans will win the Senate, but they won't win enough to override Presidential vetoes, so not much is going to get done the next 2 years.

Pretty typical for midterms during the second term of a sitting President.

That's OK. Keep making that dipshit veto everything and the White House is a lock.

I had a college professor tell me in an upper level Poli sci class that the US Govt was designed to be inefficient and full of gridlock.(checks and balances) keeps it from becoming too powerful.

So yeah I am all for grid locking, stonewalling and malcontent of nothingness for the next two years.
