So Canada will still sell its crude to refineries in the US, even without the pipeline to get it here.

So the likely way to get it here is on supertankers going to the LOOP.

Which means burning more fossil fuels shipping it here.

So by blocking the pipeline Obama is hurting his precious atmosphere.

Where am I wrong here?

You never once mentioned Warren Buffet's stake in the deal.

I'm not smart enough to tell you where you're wrong. I'm sure the tuba-playing fatass can answer your question.

Go on? I know Buffet has rail interests which would benefit by transporting oil if no pipeline.

Well, it's a theory of mine that Buffet gets the block of the Keystone project in exchange for lobbying for the Dem's new "fair share" tax policies (which I'm sure he'll co-write and leave plenty of loopholes along the way that will help him and his fellow chosen friends).

Thinking that building a pipeline shipping that much crude oil through the middle of the US isn't an environmental hazard or concern.

It's about as much a concern as a string of crude carrying tank cars blowing up and polluting towns along the track.

You do not have a clue about pipelines. Pull up a map of all the pipelines that already exist and criss cross America.....safely. Then reconsider your position.

The company I work for does emergency response work for pipeline companies as well as RR companies. Derailment emergency response work far exceeds pipeline response work.

It was on the news today and on Rush radio this morning while I was driving. Canada feels Obama is against the pipeline due to Evironmentalist politics and money. Canada has decided to build the pipeline in Canada only to the ocean and transport the oil by ships to the Houston ,Tx. and gulf refineries. It is sad that Canada gets all those jobs, not Americans.
