I had a pair of breathable waders that I bought 2 seasons ago from cabela's. (their brand)

During teal season I noticed the seams were leaking but I figured they were out of warranty so I thought about fixing them myself. I checked their website and supposedly they guarantee their footwear and apparel for life so I decided to fill out a form and send them back. The form said they would offer full or partial credit depending on what they found after inspection.

They never emailed me or called me for anything, but I just got a tracking number and receipt for a brand new pair of waders heading my way.

So to their customer service

I will be a repeat customer

Alpha Elite Black Card Member checking in

i'm in the outs right now with cabelas, their waders are shite and the quality of their products have been on the decline,(the decline is real), for about the past 4 years or so..

that being said, my new Herter's Three Fork waders are fricking. awesome.

and i agree with OP, cabelas customer service is what sets them apart from everybody else

if you call them for a order they will have it on your step usually within two days from UPS with no extra shipping

these is a reason they have been whipping bass pro shops arse the past few years and it partially has to do with filling your mail box full of catalogs every weekj

i read on another forum about a guy getting his 7 year old waders replaced free of charge

i've heard other stories of people only getting partial credit though

the only thing you really have to risk is the shipping price of getting them there, and the fact that they won't return what you sent them, even if they don't give you anything for it

I worked at the one in Gonzales when it opened. That was part of our training: take anything back, no matter what*.

I wish they would be kind enough to open a store in or near NWLA.

Bass Pro just doesnt cut it sometimes.

Cabelas and Bass Pro are both too far of a drive from me. Academy is just up the road.

I'm elated that denham is getting an academy

Bass pro is nice to go look at sometimes but their stuff is too high

The academy will be closer to my house too

I find myself buying everything from Academy these days.

Prices are usually cheaper on every item and its easier for me to get in and out.

The only scenario where Bass Pro wins is boating equipment.

I am mostly interested in Cabelas due to their in-house line of gear being quality stuff, versus the Game Winner (Academy) and Redhead (Bass Pro).

Got my 5 year old waders replaced free of charge about 2 months age. I will never buy another brand of waders as long as the have great customer service.
