Linky Thing

The "Quick Ebola Facts" graphic at the bottom right spells it out plainly.

Not sure If I am buying what is there, especially since this guy died and multiple people have been exposed (at least reportedly).

I will say though, that I am not even close to being in panic mode.

No American in the U.S. should be in panic mode. But what does this mean:

though some medical and housekeeping tasks may expose workers to aerosolized droplets

What housecleaning tasks could expose a person the aerosolized droplets?

Maybe the dusting of affected ssurfaces? Or even if they washed "ebola vomit" into a gutter with a pressure washer?

Seems kinda like the old "don't rinse your chicken under the faucet" thing. Makes the germs/bacteria/virus effectively become an aerosol and attach itself to anything it comes into contact with while also being inhalable.

He woke up feeling tired and had a tummy ache. Never had a fever. I have no idea why everyone got dressed up and made a scene. Seems like they treated it like a practice run. LINK

Ebola patients get very sick. Cleaning up vomit, diarrhea - just a number of things could aerosolize infected bodily fluids.

Ebola has been around for a while. There is a lot known about it now. There are complex reasons for the current outbreak, including greater/wider travel to and from tribal areas and areas with a known infected population. but one of the possibilities is that this strain might be a least a little more infectious than in past outbreaks, and easier aerosolization is one of the possible mechanisms of this.

I think its because its less deadly, I think thats what some virus' do. If they are too deadly then they can't spread. Its crazy, its almost like Virus' are conscience.

If you are religious you might believe that they behave as God would want them to. Of course it's a little more natural selection...
