I brought up the Conquistador in another thread and Tigertown in ATL inquired, but by time I noticed, the thread was 16 pages deep. I figured that replying there would be less than helpful, so:

The Conquistador is the sandwich god would make, if god made sandwiches. It is served by a kindly South African gentleman at Zunzis in Savannah. You should buy one today, and either eat it on their patio or walk to the park and eat it there. You're welcome

At least add some pics, man

And a description.

I wonder what "special sauce" is.

I was on a tablet when I posted that, so embedding pictures would have been a significant amount of trouble for early in the morning

It is a good sandwich but not nearly as good as it is made out to be. The two sauces they give you at the table would make anything taste good.

My wife and I really have not been out to eat much since we have been here. One I hear a lot about is the Old Pink House.

So, God made a chicken sandwich? Can we get Paul Harvey to write and narrate?

Kind of boring choice for God, no?....

Tigertown, what is your favorite place in Savannah for boiled or steamed seafood? We always go to The Flying Fish because it is near our house. Tried the Crab Shack on Tybee and it was terrible.
