Why was Ma Petit so calm when Dell came into her tent? Did word not spread throughout the camp that he attempted to assault the Amazon?

AHS is notorious for spending time on story lines and then abandoning them completely. Season 2 was the worst about this.

I think she had a very childlike mind as well(at least that is how they portrayed her). She was very trusting, like that of a small child. Dell knew that took advantage and knew that bringing her a gift would make her be even more trusting.

I haven't watched any of this season. Is it better than season 2? I have to assume it's better than 3 and not as good as 1.
