Had Duncan lived, the clamoring for US care by Ebola patients could reach a feverish point.

No way, he was gonna make it out of that Dallas hospital alive.

Interesting. But I don't think medical professionals would do such a thing. And he was being treated by regular physicians, no? Not government agents.

Duncan died because he didn't have insurance, and his family couldn't afford the bills so they asked the hospital to let him die.

NO WAY he died from a disease with a 70+% fatality rate. It had to be a gov conspiracy!!!

umm, no, this puts more pressure on the govt to actually be responsible about border security, so nope, ebola is actually bad stuff that ebomba can't just spin away with another one of his "we are the world" speeches.

ok now that makes some sense at least, "we can sell us some more ebomba-care with this new threat" "yea., woohoo!"..

probably more tactical planning than they are capable of though.

That's some fricked up thinking. Please tell me your just trolling.

Also, their are plenty of other nations that could provide the same Health Care as US hospitals.

Not me. I think him dying increases the fear our populace has of this event.

Really, it is a tradeoff.

Would you rather our populace becoming less frantic because he lived, showing that it can be treated, but increasing the possibility of people flying here?

Or would you rather our populace becoming more frantic because he died, but decreasing the possibility of people flying here (although I suspect that decrease wouldn't be that significant)?

FYI, if you work in the medical field, this flu season is going to be terrible because of this ebola scare.

No doubt this season will be horrible

I think it's good he died. I don't think they did it on purpose but it's a net positive.

The same exact scenario would of occurred in France or the UK.

Ebola isn't nearly as big of a threat to the USA as the forum makes it out to be.

Enterovirus D68 is a bigger threat to the USA but it was forgotten when Ebola stories broke.

D68 doesn't have as catchy of a name.
