What would you give to see us run a spread offense with the stars we have?

Harris would be a superstar quickly drilling the ball to receivers left and right and sprinting for huge chuncks of yards when they are covered.

Fournette would be catching the ball and running wild in space punishing defensive backs along the way.

Hilliard would be blasting though the gaps in the line, only to find the linebackers are out in coverage...geauxxxxxxxx.

Quinn and Dupre would be shooting across the midle finding gaps in between coverage catching strikes from Harris and smiling as they run back to the line.

Dural would be flying down the sidelines beating the one defender on him, way before the safety could get over......touch down!

Diarse would continue to be the King of YAC making defenders miss even more with shifty move in his new found space.

Oh to dream.

Can you run a spread offense from the I-formation? (sarcasm).

What baffles me is that there is practice video of them running the spread/read option and then we don't see it

Harris looked like a heisman candidate vs new Mexico state. 3 throwing TDs. 2 rushing.

His first start against top 5 auburn on the road with a hostile crowd clearly had him rattled. I don't think the coaches expected that at all.

I think if he's healthy he has to be the qb going forward.

i think the coaches tried to protect him. but when your qb goes 3/14 for 58 yards, what do you htink is going to happen? you will lose. doesnt matter what offense you are running.

To be honest, I think the coaches fully expected that. However, with AJ shitting the bed against New Mexico State and Harris dominating, I'm not sure they had much choice.

i watch the games. i realize some things we can complain about. half time clock bungle, not giving LF more carries. But the actual plays called isnt one of them.

Harris been overthrowing receivers left and right. And Jennings can't hit a short to intermediate throw to save his life, so....

This is the problem and I have been just as guilty of it as anybody. Truth is if we ran the spread 100% of the time right now these guys would still shite the bed. They are just not that far along. I do believe the team at the end of this season will much better than the one we have now. They are getting baptized by fire right now.

For years people on here would roll their eyes if you brought up the possibility of a Mike Leach at LSU. What did his QB throw for last Saturday? 735 yds? In one freaking game. NCAA record.

NCAA record overall or in a loss? because they still lost. because that offense doesnt work.

If Les wants to compromise and go with the spread... He can always go pistol and bunched Wr. That kinda looks like an I right?

we run a prostyle and have the most wins out of any bcs school in his tenure. Why would you want to run the spread when your qb goes 3/14? that is just retarded.
