I haven't seen a thread on how the athletic trainers suck yet OR the ball boys or water boy. Who is the guy who picks out the cleats?

Now that I think about it, we need a few more "serve beer" and "play neck" threads, though. Let's talk about parking and how hard it is to tailgate and why Les eats grass and is it the right grass and remember when the grass at Tiger Stadium was the worst ever? Not nearly as bad as the traffic or piped in music or Mike the Tiger who won't come out of his cage, though. Stupid Tiger. And, oh yeah, Toonces!!! Ugh.

Whatever happened to that ugly piece of PVC pipe and remember how terrible all of the ads on the video screens are and, man, some of the Golden Girls just aren't pretty (or something). Don't get me started on that commercial, either.

Fire Crowton! Fire Stud! Fire Mallveto! Fire Javi!

Bench JJ! Bench Lee! Bench Jennings! Bench Harris! Bench errbody! Where is Team Sweep when you need them? A player just jumped on the hood of a car and kicked a Marine in the face. Les has lost control.

BelowPar sucks, by the way. He got one thing wrong.

Just wanted to jump in with something constructive and fresh, or not. I am sure that I missed some things.

Obviously, I am not.

I am as upset as the next guy and I am ready for Les to retire with dignity so we can move on.

I am just trying to bring the negativity full circle so we can get some closure.

I'm ready to be a fan again. Maybe we can get it all out of our system and actually be happy again?

This place has been beyond depressing. Just trying to flush it out a bit more.

Maybe we could win again, but probably not.

Checked in on tRant 5 minutes ago for the first time since Saturday morning. I can only imagine how tough this place has been since then, and for reasons I understand and sympathize with entirely. However, I'm personally hoping to move on and through the anger and toward commiseration and eventually finding a little optimism. I'm surprised and impressed to have clicked on your post first.

Well said.

I'm one of the many on this board this doesn't think very highly of Miles coaching ability. I think he's ridiculous with words in front of the media, and he's horrible with clocks and numbers (especially for an accounting major).

However....I think Miles is a really good guy and a good family man. Sometimes when I talk bad about him I get sad, I guess cause I feel almost like it's not his fault. I feel really bad for the guy now. When I get really pissed after a hardheaded coaching loss I just think of that picture where he fell when running out of the tunnel with the team. Then I think "that could be my dad".

When he almost left in 2010 I was happy, then I got sad and thought "he's a bafoon, but he's our bafoon". It's the strangest emotion I've ever had.

A different thread picked LSU by 1.5 points over Florida, so I hope a better SEC result is on the horizon.

I have read enough threads about the coaching staff, but was wondering and even hoping some of the personnel changes might mean more playing time for Avery Peterson and Corey Thompson, if their injury situations are under control and also D. J. Chark, who was impressive in fall practices and Josh Boutte--why not give these guys a shot? The results surely could not be much worse.

And Clifton Garrett, who should have by now adapted to the weather here--let's see what he can do.

Always a fan, sometimes a bit critical, but I am a realist when it comes to LSU sports...let the kids play, I am sure they re not dogging it, as their future livelihoods may depend on how they compete in their respective sports.

Got to understand that there are just some days when it's not our day to win...

Miles will be here a lot longer than a lot of fans want him to be, and not long enough for his true blue supporters...I know that not all coaching changes are good nor necessary...but, they don't pay me to make those decisions...

I haven't either, but when all we do is criticize and gripe about the team, it makes the whole experience pretty miserable.

Getting blown out stinks too, obviously.

I am not even disagreeing with the criticism. I agree with most of it and I think that Miles needs to either radically change or go. What he is doing is not working. However, just continuously harping on the same things over and over again just makes all of us miserable.

This team obviously needs a win in the worst way. If LSU loses to Florida and then Kentucky (both teams that we are capable of losing to) before the Ole Miss - Arkansas- Alabama - A&M games, this season could spiral out of control entirely and MIles might not make it.

But, winning against Florida and then Kentucky puts us at 6-2 when Ole Miss comes to town and who knows what might happen then? Maybe this team will click and pull off a big upset? Could they beat Arkansas then? 8-2 with Alabama coming to town after a HUGE upset win over Ole Miss? Anything is possible at that point. 9-2 and then we play A&M, a team that we have had success against in the past and who knows?

Look. There is basically no chance of all of that happening. I get it. But, what if?

The season isn't over yet. Maybe we will pull it together? I'd rather hope for miracles than curse everything.

I haven't spent much time on that either. I knew we were going to have a difficult season going in. I didn't expect to beat AU before the season started. I just look forward to the next game. It's not in my control. Rantards are just crazy anonymous internet people. They're still living with 1/9 in their heads.

I think it's great that the team had a team only meeting. Don't know that it will win games, but it's certainly a positive and folks in that earlier thread were pretty ugly about it. Would have been a good thread had they left out the crap in one single thread and given kudos to the team for uniting with the intent of improving and making the rest of the season as good as it can be, regardless of the outcome. Most of these kids are young and they'll be playing for us for 3-4 more years. I say good for them! If only adults could get over themselves.

ETA: and I use the term "adults" loosely. Probably should have said "people 18 and older".

It's time to send out encouragement and I will. All I can say to the team is keep working hard and good things are going to happen. When things are going bad that when these guys need our support.
