Excellent, free, and will extract pretty much any archive.

Built in is completely inadequate for power users. The Built in is only good for zipping up those few files to email grandma.

Whose grandma would know how to unzip a file in an e-mail? My mom can't even open email without assistance. No way am I sending her a zip file.

I usually just use my fingers, but my SO lately has learned this trick where she uses her teeth.






7zip is good.
