re: Amazon and those stupid cute dog error messages - sfdurst
Probably for the best. I was about to buy a bluetooth LED light bulb speaker
I bought one of those for Halloween last year. Hooked it up to the outdoor spotlight, and streamed Halloween music into the front yard. Worked out very well, sounded pretty good too....

re: OT please help. Need advice about leaving internship off resume and application - sfdurst
The application for your job, that would be your call. I personally would leave it off. The SF86 is a whole different thing. Will you need a Secret or Top Secret Clearance? For a Secret Clearance it will not really matter to much one way or the other. I would put it on there. Especially if ...

re: What type of stuff would keep somebody from getting a security clearance? - sfdurst
It really depends on the level of clearance needed. There is a huge difference between a Secret and Top Secret Clearance investigation. Also a TS Clearance may require if needed a Lifestyle Polygraph. A Secret clearance will basically confirm who you are, where you are from and that you are not...

re: Why does this board hate Zea's? - sfdurst
their quality has gone down the past 3 years. Used to be much better imo.
I concur, used to be a good place for a decent meal in Lafayette, but service and quality of food has fallen off the couple time I have been. I had a work lunch at the Metairie location, is was much bette...

re: How to determine if home will not qualify for insurance/ mortgage? - sfdurst
Sounds about right, the FHA inspection was not terribly through. From my understanding the FHA inspection is a livability inspection. Good luck, hope it works out either way for you....

re: How to determine if home will not qualify for insurance/ mortgage? - sfdurst
I will say the FHA did not do a structural inspection on the house I sold, but there were also no red flags. Is the ceiling sagging? I assume these are noticeable on a casual walk though. ...

re: How to determine if home will not qualify for insurance/ mortgage? - sfdurst
I am not in the RE industry. The last house I sold went FHA, during the appraisal the appraiser basically did a safety and sanitation inspection. They looked at faucets and I needed to replace a leaky shower valve seal. They also require doors on all bedrooms and bathrooms. They look for bro...

re: Help with flights - sfdurst
The only benefit to flying in and out of New Orleans is that on southwest they have nonstop flights and better timing. Southwest looks like it's $101 on the way there and $126 for a 6:40pm-7:20pm MCO-New Orleans flight on Sunday night July 2nd. Total is $227 if you do Nola-Orlando
...

re: Help with flights - sfdurst
Parking is ~$15 a day at MSY if your trip is 7 days $15*7 = $105 I get reimbursed $.53 a mile LFT-MSY ~150mi x2 = 300 miles .53x300 = $159 round trip Using previous posters flight cost. MSY = $178+159+105 = $442 LFT = $334 Just off cost, looks like LFT would be a better option. ...

re: Help with flights - sfdurst
The price is a judgment call on your part. If I need to travel with a definite timeline MSY (firm work appointments or personal travel); if it is a standard business trip (I will be in sometime on XXXday) I will fly LFT just for convenience. LFT is basically a crap shoot with limited options f...
