Auburn fired Gene Chizik after going winless in SEC play just two seasons removed from winning the National Championship. Here was his record at Auburn.

2009 - 8-5 -- 3-5 SEC
2010 - 14-0 -- 8-0 SEC
2011 - 8-5 -- 4-4 SEC
2012 - 3-9 -- 0-8 SEC

LSU isn't winning an SEC game this year...how much better will they really be next year?

The events have been set into motion, and Les Miles will not survive this down trend. It is going to be up to the administration to decide how long they will keep him.

If LSU doesn't win a game and the rats in the LSU BOS decide to keep him, watch attendance drop to the ground.

You know who was coaching that team for 3 of those years? Malzahn. This situation is not similar. Malzahn left and the wheels fell off. His players and offensive scheme were still in place when he came back. This is not similar to LSU at all.

I want Les to be gone, but let's wait until he actually goes winless in the SEC before we ask this question. Otherwise we're just dealing with hypotheticals.

SEC games and conference games are completely different. I can see us competing against florida and Kentucky but i dont think this team can beat anyone in the west.

how about just holding the employee(coach) accountable instead of of just immediately bending over every time the badass agent comes calling, or dropping rumors?

No they just realized who was making that team go in the 3 years there was success.

Lets remember Gus's offense in 2011 sucked against real teams.

He needs the right players as much as anyone does.

No kiddin? You mean HC Chizik let Malzahn coach the offense at Auburn when he was OC? You're right about this...

Because as we know, because we read it on the Rant, if Cam was calling the offensive plays and setting up the offensive scheme, LSU would be neither boring offensively, nor hopelessly mired in predictability.

Yes, that's why Les Miles has beaten auburn 7 times out of 10.
