It's kind of like a local anonymous twitter. With up and down votes. Can be pretty entertaining when you're bored. As long as those around you using it are actually funny

Some a-hole posted on YouTube that he was going to kill all the fratters. That got picked up by yikyap and was morphed into the Joker strolling down sorority row, killing people, and gunman on the loose in Tutwiler (caused the cops to search the place, door to door, at 1:30 am on a Monday). Then, the rumor got around that a gunman was going to shoot people on the Quad.
It was a fricking disaster. Freshmen were going nuts, their mothers calling, pissing their panties. Just ridiculous. They've got two assholes in jail for terroristic threats and are hunting the third, via IP search warrants and the FBI.
