Not looking good folks. Unless the air campaign picks up significantly, I think that the green zone will be under siege in a few weeks. Question is Obama willing to commit ground troops and reverse the tide? I don't think so. We may see gradual fall of Baghdad and spread of isis into North Africa.

I feel sorry for ya bro. Open your eyes and realize that if Odumbass would have just put a little effort into getting a SOFA then this would be happening.

As World War II showed us, you can't beat a conventional force by air power alone. What makes us think we can beat an unconventional force with only air power and a few dozen "advisors"?

Would not be happening if Big Ears hadn't ignored his military advisers by refusing to leave a stay-behind US stabilization force.

In any event, how long do you suppose Saddam would have lived? Saddam's sons Uday or Qusay would have been in power some years ago. Who knows what kind of mischief one of those psychos would perpetrate?

Your claim that everything would be fine to day if only Bush hadn't removed Saddam ignores facts and logic. It's a completely specious claim that is devoid of rational basis.

Obama has shown he wants to support radical groups to overthrow dictators. So what makes anyone think you wouldn't have had an Arab spring in Iraq?

I don't understand why we don't bring our people home and just let those trashy fricking muslims eat each other. Who cares what they do?

Well, of course, that's rational thinking.

LibTurds are liars or they are stupid. You have to be either stupid or lying to say that, had Saddam not been deposed from power back in 2003, he would not only STILL be alive and in power, but he would also be presiding over a calm Middle East with Saddam's Iraq as the stabilizing influence in the region -- a full eleven years later ! No serious person believes this.

Even so, as you point out, had Saddam still been in power when Big Ears took office, Big Ears would have supported an Arab Spring insurgency that would have deposed Saddam and brought ISIS to power there anyway. That's a logical train of thought, because, as you pointed out, Obama is very fond of supporting Arab Spring movements.

Speculation.

Whether the Iraq war was a worthy venture or not (I don't), you play with the hand you are dealt. President Obama campaigned for the opportunity to right the wrongs that had occurred under the previous administration.

So far he has failed. Miserably.

I hope we don't send ground troops. With each invasion, things get worse for the US. Let those who have the most to lose deal with it. Sooner or later, Europe, Russia, Iran & maybe even Israel will have to get involved on the ground if we stay out of it.

Send in James Longstreet, Thomas Jackson and Jeb Stuart and give them a free hand to deal with the rabble.
