Incredible that Notre Dame is #5 and Baylor is #3 Perfect example of why early polls are so dumb. They've moved up by process of elimination, not on their own merit. By every measure Ole Miss and Mississippi State have better resumes.

Shouldn't be. Oregon's offensive line has been decimated by injury. Sparty would take care of Oregon at this point in the season.

It's not the same Oregon offense on the field now.

I know. There are so many ways to rank teams. Are we ranking the best based on the results on the field? Are we taking an educated guess as to who is the best team on paper? Are we still biased based on last season and the preseason polls?

I just have a hard time ranking any teams ahead of Auburn, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss. I fail to see who has a legitimate argument for being better through this young 2014 season.

Let's not crown them kings yet. The Mississippi's played no one OOC and the SEC is topsy turvy this season.

Auburn struggled mightily at KSU and would have lost the game if the KSU kicker didn't blow.

Everything will sort out in the end but I don't see these as the top three teams in the country by any stretch.

LSU is not LSU this year. The issues people thought that Alabama would have are there. Their secondary is garbage and Texas A&M still doesn't have a defense or consistent quarterback play from week to week.

And the AP Poll isn't? Unfortunately, the polls carry way too much weight. They need to just decide this shite on the field and P5 conferences only play each other.

Remind me again why humans determining a national champion is so much better.......

I mean, somebody besides that ignorant jackass in the Dr. Pepper propaganda commercial.

You can't go off record alone. If you did, you'd never see Michigan State travel to Oregon, you would see Ohio State-Kansas and Auburn-Wake Forest every OOC game. The pro leagues can go strictly off record because they are generally of the same quality.
