Iphone autocorrects wed to we'd

Every week when I'm writing my work schedule in my notepad. Is there a way to change this without turning off autocorrect? I've tried adding a shortcut but that doesn't work.

Can you add words to your personal dictionary? What happens if your type Wed instead of wed? There may be an option to have auto-correct ignore capitalized words. No iphone, so not sure.

It also auto corrects whore to who're.

If you correct a word back a few times, it learns. At least that has been my experience.

Yeah the keyboard is supposed to "learn" over time but it isn't fojng so great for me so far.
I tried forcing it to give me wed as the main prediction. It does it for a while, then forgets and reverts back to we'd

Yeah not sure how much of that screw up I can blame on the keyboard
