Is UL-Lafayette the most disappointing team in CFB so far?

Pre season they were being talked about as an under the radar team who could make some noise

But instead they haven't even been competitive in any of their games vs. FBS teams so far this year. No shame in losing to Ole Miss but Louisiana Tech/Boise State are flawed teams that both have experienced embarrassing losses this year.

At what point does winning 8 or 9 games and going to the New Orleans Bowl get tiring?

No doubt. You'd think the flagship of the state could do better.

Sun Belt is weak enough to where they will probably only lose another game or two at most(Georgia Southern looks like the team to beat) but will win 7 or 8 games and go to the New Orleans Bowl again

And we didn't just lose to those teams. They blew us out.

The way we're playing, I'm not confident that we even get to 6 wins.

Did anyone SERIOUSLY think this team was going to do well this year?

I'm not disappointed in ULL at all. I'm a big fan of their performances so far this season.

Absolutely. I was blind sided into believing this team would be the best ULL team ever. I really expected 11-1 or 10-2 at worst. Oh well

No you didn't. You saw a preseason bowl projection that had the Cajuns in the Cotton Bowl and your imagination took care of the rest.

I think they're going to change the defense and play much better. They already made the move to start Jevante Watson, no idea why it took this long but they're going to start playing more press, I'm fairly certain. Broadway sucks though, so it'll have to be Elijah, Alonzo and Jamal leading the offense.

I dislike ULL very much and their fans might be disappointed but if you look at their schedule they only lost one game they "should" have won by most others on the planets opinion.

They will (or should) still win the Sun Belt. I would not bet against them anyways, not me.

Now go to hell USL.

Looking at their schedule, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who didn't have them penciled in at 2-2 or 1-3 at worst through 4 games.

They should count themselves lucky that the bowl season has expanded as much as it has, because a few years ago, not too many bowls were looking to fill slots with 6-6 or 7-5 mid-tier Sun Belt teams.

Not really the schedule but the fact that they've looked like shite all season. Even against Southern, they didn't look amazing. Southern was just extra shitty.

very disappointing. however, unlike some majors, our expectations are not as high. so, our new season starts Saturday as we play our first conference game.

No, that belongs solely to Troy. I thought they were turning things around from the abysmal 3-9 record in 2011, to 5-7 then 6-6 last year. I wasn't expecting them to win the Fun Belt or anything, but 7-5 was the next step.

It is just hard to believe that the last season with a winning record was the 8-5 in 2010. And with this team already at 0-5 the seniors will not have a winning season in their entire time at Troy.
