1-0 HT. Pretty pleased, but we've had a few nervy moments. Wilson Eduardo for them looks good. Wakaso playing way too narrow and doesn't have any chemistry with the rest of the team. Should have at least two (Commons ).

Coric coming on for Zagreb. Looks like a young Michael J Fox.

Hugo Lloris is easily the Man of the Match for Spurs. We should probably be losing this one, and we have the lead.

Celtic wins 1-0

We were as bad in the second half as we were good in the first. Made a great sub bringing Kayal on for Commons to help the midfield.

Van Dijk
Gordon
Sevco Denayer
Johansen
Broony

Two matches in a row. Hugo has been playing great.

That De Bruyne goal was pure class today.

Fiorentina, Napoli, Inter and Torino all won today.

Maybe it's a new age of Italian teams playing at least halfway serious lineups in Europa League.

The automatic CL spot may have something to do with it but I hope it's simply that clubs like Fiorentina, Napoli and Inter realize they have been shooting themselves in the foot by preferring to get knocked out Europa League asap.

Coupled with Roma and Juve in CL, Serie A actually has the highest coefficient points so far for this season.

Juve have actually looked pretty strong; away vs Atletico isn't an easy fixture and they lost it late after playing pretty even.

I agree though that as good as Pogba, Vidal and Marchiso are in simply running over most teams, without Pirlo Juve misses the midfielder that really picks out the killer pass when a good team packs back behind the ball and defends well like Atletico did.

Overall Atletico - Juve was such a throwback to 1990s Serie A. Allegri vs Simeone can easily set the sport back 2 decades.

However, it was pretty entertaining for a neutral if that neutral, like me, is entertained by:

constant elbows and constantly faked facial injuries

disgusting tackles followed by the tackler giving the "he dove" sign to the official

continually poking the guy with the broken nose

getting away with disguised hand balls

the guy with the broken nose taking off his mask and gesturing come at me

no one gets within binocular view of the box without being cynically taken out and perhaps an all-time CL record for fouls committed

and great moments like Atletico taking the ball to the corner to time waste in the 82nd minute.

It was ugly. A very hotly contested match. The return leg in Turin will be incredible.
