For failing to 'remove images'

Cuz clearly Google caused this.

A large group of the women whose personal email accounts have been compromised - with the stolen intimate shots of stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian subsequently disseminated online - are now threatening to sue Google for $100 million, according to a new report.

Page Six are reporting that lawyers representing the women claim the search giant should have been able to remove the images from the internet and, in failing to do so, 'made millions from the victimization of women'.

While this is ridiculous, it's how people think, look at the "right to be forgotten" law in Europe.

If they had a case against Google selling ads when someone searched for their brand, Google might not still be in business today.

Because it's Google's fault new terms like fappening were created specifically as indexing tools for the images.

Lol that they blame the Dewey decimal system.

Someone gonna get paid.

Did Gabrielle Union really make this about race?

'I can’t help but to be reminded that since the dawn of time women and children, specifically women of color, have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them.

i know right. she's the one that took the pictures of herself... so she took her own power away from her? I'm so confused.

she also said that she deleted the pics. Apparently she didn't. If you don't know how auto-sync works on the iPhone, maybe you shouldn't have a smart phone at all.

Looking forward to the photographic evidence they will have to present in court.

But I guess it's okay with them when someone uses Google to search for something that they benefit from such as their recent movies, etc.

Wow. That is asinine. They are just targeting the richest group possible in hopes of getting some quick cash. There is no way they actually believe that google could have done anything about this. Hell.... I know people who downloaded the whole thing from usenet. How would google have stopped that from happening?
