Watching the MLB playoffs just got me wondering...where is all the talent coming from?

And granted so much comes from non-college players...

But oh well, here's the college list up to date...

10. Rice
9. Stanford
8. Georgia Tech
7. Cal State Fullerton
6. LSU
5. Florida State
4. Texas
3. Arizona State
2. Miami

1. Long Beach State

Not a surprising list considering LBSU had a fantastic program in the mid 2000s.

So what?

I doubt there are many superstars from a college program from 1 year ago.

Let alone a major shift in starters.

I think you are nit-picking but you are welcome to find another list of 2014 to show these dramatic shifts from one class.

I think the list is fairly accurate for how MLB works.

This isn't the NFL draft.

That's a valid critique.

Hard to believe LSU is the only SEC team on that list. South Carolina has been strong for awhile now.

I agree with you.

Haven't won crap in the CWS...but always there...and frankly even when they weren't there...they have crazy talent...

I guess if Barry Bonds was still playing - they would be #1.

ASU is #1 according to a more recent study by Baseball America.

Only three schools have 100+ alumni all-time: ASU, USC and Texas.

I don't know who's #1 overall at the minute.

Our last title was in 1981 and it's been sooooo long.

Tracy Smith, former Indiana HC is lookin to change that.

They were even better in the 90's. The 93 team had LSU on the brink of elimination in Omaha before Armando Rios went all roid rage with a 2-out game tying RBI double.
