All these articles about the ATT version of the phone are way overdramatic. It installs two fricking programs, and adds some additional ring tone options OMGz. The worst part is the bootup logo/sound, but I, having spent no more than 10 seconds with Android prior to having the Nexus, was able to get rid of it the first day by following directions.

Now that it's gone, I really do find that boot logo hilarious. The fact that it plays at max volume too. I do appreciate good trolling.

Lets see some AnTuTu and 3DMark Benchmarks! Just hit start, default settings. Use width=250.

Just ran AnTuTu. I'm consistently lower in every score by a small margin (except my i/o and RAM scores are higher). Probably can raise it by shutting down some processes and of course overclocking. The craptastic 3d graphic run was funny to watch.

About to run 3DMark.

How big is the phone in comparison to the galaxy s 3? IPhone 6? I know I can view specs, but wanted someone's opinion.

It's pretty much the same size as the iPhone 6 Plus just a little wider

Mine are a little lower, too. 50,266 on Antutu. Defective POS... sending it back.

I'm overclocked on LeanKernel so that's why I'm a bit higher. 2.9GHZ on performance profile and GPU 600MHz on performance profile.

Absolutely loving this phone though, even more than how much I loved my N5, not even close really.

what about the n6 makes you like it so much better besides larger screen?

I never owned the N5, but of all the great things I've heard about it, I've not heard anything positive stated about the camera. So, it appears the display and camera are the two most immediately noticeable upgrades. I've also heard that the Nexus 5 without FDE is actually faster than the 6 with FDE. However, I disabled encryption with the Toolkit, and there is a noticeable improvement in responsiveness and load times. It's running flawlessly. I hope Google implements a way to natively disable encryption, though. As it is now, I'll have to avoid OTA updates or else encryption will revert.

Well the larger screen is fantastic and beautiful yes, main selling point and it's beautiful. But the phone feels great in the hand and it really isn't too big like some that haven't held it would think, but from what I've seen on Reddit and XDA everyone loves how it feels in the hand and state the size isn't really an issue.

So I mean if anyone is truly worried about the size, I have at biggest medium size hands, and it is really zero issue. After 1 day with the N6 I wouldn't want to go back to a smaller screen.

Performance is a monster, especially if you love tweaking like a typical Nexus owner should IMO, I've got mine OC'ed to 2.9GHz on a performance profile and the GPU at 600Mhz on a performance profile, as well as decrypted, stock ROM, nova launcher prime, and it's just soooo fricking fast and instant. It's just unbelievably smooth to me, compared to the N5 or any phone other than the Note 4 really (which is still running shite TouchWiz and thus vanilla android > plus those internals) nothing else is going to come close until late spring/early summer of next year.

Feature wise, I am in love with ambient display Google emplented it's twist into this phone. Works great and I never need or want Double Tap to Wake again. Battery life has been fantastic for me and will get even better as more kernels get here.

The camera is very very good already and will only get better.

It's just an all around excellent improvement from the N5 and worth the upgrade. N5's are going for $280 16GB on eBay I sold mine today :( to put towards this phone and I got it on AT&T so technically made $30 going that route switching but I wasn't on contract with the N4 or N5 but felt okay doing so for the N6's all around step up into the top of the market category for quite awhile.

Stacks up very well, just barely behind the new Nexus 9 tablet.

Sweet update! Not. 3DMark is fun to watch the first time though.

From what I have read, the issue with that is the Qualcomm drivers are older and not yet updated for encryption, and thus that is what is making the speeds even worse. Encryption should only result in at most a 10% performance loss and as it stands with these old drivers it's 50% or higher. It'll get updated and most will probably just stay encrypted after that, no point in the hassle if it's 5-10% like it should be.

So far the couple of kernels that have came out have encryption disabled, so they're fine to flash anyways and toy around with OC's and voltages and run some benchmarks.

You said you were going to keep your phone naked, right? Have you seen some of the reddit posts of people losing the chrome trim from the nexus branding? Though some are saying it looks better without it.

Just got my dbrand skin in today. Hopefully it helps with that issue. Also using a case at the moment.

I'm thinking of switching from my solid black case to a dbrand skin that covers all but the nexus branding + clear case.
