Suddenlink just announced that as of midnight tomorrow, they are dropping 24 Viacom channels, including favorites like Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, TV Land, CMT, BET, Spike, VH1 and more.

We at Viacom have made and continue to make every effort to reach an agreement and are willing to keep our channels on the air while we negotiate.

Early last week, Suddenlink stopped negotiating and is refusing to even talk to us. We are surprised and disheartened by their actions.

We are offering Suddenlink an extremely fair deal. It’s a better deal than they initially asked for and a better deal than hundreds of other television providers in the country recently agreed to.

Suddenlink says it is on your side, but is choosing to drop your channels rather than productively work to reach a deal and keep Viacom channels on your line-up. If they were truly on your side, they would return to the negotiating table and get to work for you.

Call Suddenlink now (877)794-2724. Tell them not to drop channels you pay for and enjoy

Viacom is wanting a 50% increase in pay for those channels.

I don't watch those channels, so I'm happy my cable bill will not be rising because of them.

This. Why is Suddenlink just assumed to be the bad guy here?

Only one I'm semi upset about is Comedy Central. I can live without the others.

Damn, just seen tonight and lost all those channels and replaced with some other crappy channels.

Didn't really care except for comedy central and my daughter watches Nick.

Bout ready to just quit paying any of these bastards, and internet is next

Edit: And I have never had a problem with Suddenlink, so if it is because of Viacom, I will call Suddenlink and give them props, not that it really matters.

I got a list of channels, but it only showed added channels. Both my Nicks are still there. When are they supposed to be deleted?

Yeah, I just read the Suddenlink Facebook page. People are really angry.
Apparently SD is offering 10 bucks off for 6 months and some other things. I just want my channels back. I'll probably switch. I'm tired of dealing with them. Also, people are reporting that the reps are suggesting watching those shows online, on Amazin, Netflix or Hulu.

I emailed suddenlink. LINK

Viacom claims they accepted the last offer by SL, but it was declined. SL claims VCdidnt accept yesterday's offer. Sounds like SD backed off of an offer that was ultimately accepted. SD may have taken it off the table when initially declined. Either way, I want some of those channels back.

Any more on this? I only care because I am shocked by some of the reactions I've seen. One friend of mine thinks SL will lose 1 million customers today. I could not care less really. That's how much I hated satellite TV.

Since Hulu Plus puts up new episodes of South Park/Daily Show/Colbert Report the day after they air, I am losing little sleep over this.

I contacted SL for a discount since I wasn't getting the same channels any longer to see what they would say. They offered 10 bucks off per month for 6 months if I either switched my phone to them or upgraded my internet with them. I'm not going to buy another product from them after this debacle.

I used to hate suddenlink. Then I moved to BR and have to deal with Cox's frickin bull shite. Trust me, dealing with suddenlink is like heaven compared to these frickers. Cable companies might actually be the worst. Don't think I've ever had one that wasn't a major pain in the arse.

Apparently they're blocking any shows that are from Viacom from streaming.
