With the exception of Perrilloux being more stoutly built they are very similar in terms of talent, arm and instincts. Even their high school senior season numbers were very similar.. RP was a very special talent and had the "it" factor on the field but he just couldn't handle the fame off the field.. I think BH has the stable upbringing and maturity to handle everything thrown his way.

That's totally what he is comparing. Not a dual threat QB with a strong arm.

I've thought the best talent I've ever seen come through Baton Rouge since 1960 when I saw my first game were Casanova, Cecil Collins, Ryan Perrilloux, and Tyran Mathieu. This Harris may belong to that group. We'll know a lot more after Saturday's Auburn game. This kid just seems to have a feel for the game that goes beyond speed, quick release, accuracy, etc. I also wonder what could have been so different in the practices so as to obscure the reality on the field on Saturday, or stated another way, what blindness could have missed in practice what we get to see only on Saturday.

The hype is building for Harris like it did for Fournette. Here's hoping it all pans out!

I think he is smarter and a better leader than RP. It's gonna be very interesting to see how he responds to JHS in Awburn.

Do y'all remember Perrilloux led the country in passing efficiency that next season? Ugh

Every damn time...can we wait till he actually plays the majority of two or three SEC games till you guys anoint him one of the best ever to play for LSU.

Does he have skills? Yes. Are the far majority of LSU fans happy he is starting? Yes.

How old are some of you people? I have no idea, but I'm hoping very young for your own sakes.

Disagree. Perrilloux was an athlete, but not as much as Harris is and not in the same way. Perrilloux's instincts in HS were top. He was a 4.75 guy, but he had amazing running instincts. Flynn timed higher in the 40 than Perrilloux. Would also put Perrilloux's arm talent a notch before the Mett, JR, and Harris's of the world. (In other words, the guys with insane canons for arms.)

What made RP such an amazing prospect is that in HS he had the complete physical package and amazing instincts for the game. Harris came out of HS as a much more raw prospect, but I would put his physical talent a notch above.

This kid is special, so far. He is so athletic. Some of his throws, on the run, were as technically sound as you could get from a college QB. I think he'll be ready. He has alot to prove to Auburn. They were one of his three final choices. Auburn head scout called him "lil cam". He can make the 3rd and 8, 3rd and 12 throws. He may come out firing and not look back for 4 years.

Why can't Harris just be what Harris will be?

you really are a despicable piece of shite. here is the entirety of Ryans "criminal behavior" at LSU:

- issued a misdemeanor summons for allegedly using his brother's identification to get on the Hollywood Casino boat in Baton Rouge.

thats it. thats the complete list. a college kid used a fake id, yet you're gonna insinuate that he was some thug, I guess because you think it might make Miles look bad in some way which is your only reason for living.

is your life really this sad and pathetic, is your wife really such a mean ugly count, that this is the kind of thing you have to do to prop yourself up?

Herb Tyler, Rohan Davey, Matt Mauck, JaMarcus, Matt Flynn, Perrilloux, Something Hatch (I think), Jarrett Lee, Jordan Jefferson, Zach, Jennings, Harris.

thats from memory so I might be forgetting someone but those are the LSU QBs in my lifetime. point being, they're mostly black QBs, so who was he really supposed to compare Harris too?

Who knows but Harris (IMO) has one of the strongest arms I've ever seen. He's in the class with Bert Jones, JaMarcus, and Mett. I'm not sure I would include RP among them (maybe so). Just get him outside the pocket and tell Chi/Travin "go long."
