Scratch off QB, scratch off OT for this arguments sake, if Leonard Williams and the next premier De is off the boards...
Dare I say we grab another wide out. Time to move pas colston and make a great young trio of Stills Cooks and Amari Cooper?
Not sure what DT's may be available

There is not much top 10 talent that I know off that is not a pass rusher or OT besides Cooper.
Realistically we need a G (no G goes top 10), a CB (there are some impressive guys but no one top 10 worthy), and a MLB (again, none of these go top 10).
I would say that our best bet will be either to reach for a corner or to trade into the mid teens (let a needy team come up for a QB) and take the best corner we can get.
I don't see the team going WR 2 seasons in a row in the 1st when this defense is playing so bad. I agree we need a #1 with Colston obviously close to being done but I just can't see the team justifying it when we have Jimmy.
For the record, I would love Cooper. Dude is a true WR1. Big, fast, good hands.

Chad, let's worry about this season first please. We play the Buccaneers Sunday.

3hour, this thread has been the most positive in 2 days. Finger me

We need a premier corner. Might be someone around at that spot, or maybe make a trade for someone.
If you can get the corners back to the pre-Jabari Greer level, that frees the safeties back up to roaming around creating havoc. As it is, people look where Jenkins is, and pass opposite him. That pulls everyone else out of position to mask that hole.

in my opinion:
QB - set, OT - set, RB - set, TE - set, DE - set, S - set, P - set
in order of needs:
CB > DT > OG > C > ILB > WR (JG alleviates this a bit) > OLB > K

I'll just take a pick in each of the first 3 rounds that can actually contribute (and that don't cost us future picks). We haven't had that in a real long time.

In no way, shape, or form do i trust a high first round pick on a CB. For one it's a fairly difficult leaving curve, two we suck arse at drafting corners, three we've pretty decent at grabbing successful moderately priced free agents.
I truly think we will always be an offense first team as long as Brees is here. For his last 3 years or so we need to give him legit linemen and weapons. Next first rounder and onward will also be players who are likely still at end of their rookie deals when we transition from Brees to new qb. Wouldn't mind having a good offensive system in place for him.

you can get a guard in the late rounds or free agency dont waste a top pick on a guard. You guys will never make it as a GM.

let's end the discussion now, we'll reach for an overrated DT from Georgia or USC and trade our 2nd round pick for a RB

1st rd CB
2nd rd CB
3rd rd CB
maybe one will hit !

Draft a fricking ILB, DT or CB. This team is pretty deficient in all those spots.

1. Cedric Ogbuehi T/G/C Texas A&M
You don't wanna spend a top 10 pick on a G? That's fine, he can play any position on the entire line. Let him play at Guard until Strief moves on and then kick him over to Tackle if need be.
2. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu CB Oregon
While I'm not downing the selection of Stanley Jean-Baptiste, it's clear we need major help all over the CB position. Keenan Lewis has regressed, I'll be surprised if Patrick Robinson is even on the roster next year and Baptiste won't be ready by next season. Ekpre-Olomu is the best corner in the draft and it's not even close (at least right now).
3. Vic Beasley LB Clemson
A lot of mocks had Beasley falling to the Saints last year until he decided to return to school. While I am usually a bit reserved about Clemson pass rushers (Da'Quan Bowers, Ricky Sapp) Beasley looks like just the kind of beast we need running down QB's.

In his defense you have us picking top 8 only 4 games in to the current season so a trade is just as likely
