I know I am. Everything that I wanted to see last night I saw (other than Jennings bad night). Granted it was just against NMS but you can't deny the changes. Harris came in and did everything I thought he was capable of doing and did it. We spread out the offense, opened it up just the right amount and took the d out of the box. The defense couldn't predict what was coming at them. NMS one good play was squarely on Welter and it will be hard for Chavis to overlook that while simultaneously Beckwith looked much more comfortable and his physical presence can't be denied. He will see a lot more PT and seems to be gradually making the MLB position his. Really their is not much I would change. I think we now finally in a position to maximize the talent that we do have. Whether that is good enough to beat Auburn, we shall see. I just feel a lot more comfortable about going into that game now than I did 24 hours ago.

yes, win or lose the next couple of weeks, if Harris and the offense play like that, I'll be happy and proud of them.

Offensively, yes. As long as Harris our guy.

Defensively, no. Because odds are Welter is still going to be our MLB and play AT LEAST 50%. He shouldnt see the field but on special teams. Thats how bad he is.

Nope. I am optimistic that Harris will be better than Jennings but if we cannot stop the run up the middle and control the line of scrimmage, we are going to get dominated by several teams. I am not used to watching LSU teams like this and I don't have confidence in Les to change things.

But, Harris will be the real deal. I am just not sure how much difference it makes in the W-L column considering the rest of the problems.

More optimistic for the Rant is believing the apocalypse is two weeks away instead of just one.

Not if its true that miles is starting jennings

If true - sad and angering that our own head coach would hold back the team

More optimistic for the Rant is seeing the problems where they occur for what they are and calling them out appropriately, which we did and will continue to do.

More optimistic seriously?

Miles is a cheesedick and will likely start Jennings again and not put in Harris until we are down 21 points. Everyone knew Harris had the tools. Miles is the reason for our loss and he will mess up quite a few more games due to his stupidity.

Lets not forget in May when Harris and Dupre were in california working with george whitfield...... Jennings was there also. There were 4 post on how much of the "real deal" Brandon Harris was. Not one post on his twitter about Jennings.

Harris is what we need to win games. The players don't even want to play for Jennings you could see that last night. Jennings makes offense anemic. they cannot move the ball at all. It'll be tough sailing having to come back from 14-21 points down like we had to against wisconsin and mississippi state. If Jennings starts expect the same for all of our SEC games.

is a very interesting situation. While Welter is much better than he was last season, he made some huge mistakes last night. With the lack of size and depth at DT, Beckwiths size and physical play in the middle is even more important than it normally would be. I think Chavez is making the move to utilizing Beckwith much more and we will see it against Auburn.

I don't think so. I think Miles is one of the elite coaches in the country but if the situation plays out how you describe it I will be as anti Miles as anyone.

if their is one legitimate knock on Miles, it is that he is overly conservative both in offense philosophy and personel. He was late in making the switch to Harris in the MSU game. Plenty of coaches would have had a hard time making that switch but it doesn't excuse it.

those that are truly LSU fans are still here. There are a lot of trolls on this forum that like to make it look like LSU fans are tards.

I have a ways to go grasshopper. I still haven't seen Harris against a good team (except in mop up). I wholeheartedly agree he's the man right now but i'm still not convinced our OL can give him the time to make plays or open holes for the backs against a stout SEC defense.

the next two games are gonna tell us a lot. everyone says florida is a bad team but their D can be stout, esp at home
