One run kept the defense from their third shutout this year

Yes, you can blame it on the MLB

Did you see how slow welter was when the whole team was chasing the runner. Guys were flying by him. Deion Jones almost caught the runner and welter was still at the 20 yard line. He just does not have the talent.

I didn't get a good look at the replay, but was it the same scheme that LSU used when MSU broke those big runs last week?

Was Welter lined up between the DE and DT again? If he was then that's on Chavis, again.

31 saved a td by recovering a fumble.

Welter just cannot fill. He gets hung up everywhere except where he should be.

Bet I saw him lined up outside the DEs 5-6 times with no one left in the middle. If we do that against Auburn, it'll be a really long day.

Yes, it was a zone read and Welter went 100% on the handoff.

That's my biggest worry: DLine and MLB.

Its on Chavis for two years now. It is not Welters fault that he is not talented enough to make the plays. He lines up exactly where he is supposed to each play. Chavis is to blame for running him out there.

Welter is a great kid but not an effective MLB and whiffed on that touchdown run. He is frequently out of position to make a play or even disrupt. Can't have busts like that and can't have them that often and this goes back to key spots in 2013. He is a back up at this point. Kwon Alexander is very athletic but has very similar style to Craig Loston always looking for big hit and not tackling with form. He needs to be coached up quickly. Beckwith makes plays and is in right place often. He is your best option for MLB...period.
