Browns RBs coach Wilbert Montgomery expects Ben Tate (knee) to regain his starting job when healthy. Tate is tentatively due back after Cleveland's Week 4 bye and should be owned in all fantasy leagues. The Akron Beacon Journal does agree with ESPN Cleveland that UDFA Isaiah Crowell has earned a bigger role, but Montgomery is planning on Tate returning as the lead back. "That’s what we brought Tate here for, to be the starter," Montgomery said. "He’s the No. 1 running back in this offense. Right now, you can say we miss him. We miss his experience. We miss his leadership with the group. Speaking from that standpoint, we’ll be open arms and welcome to have Ben back into the fold." Sep 24 - 8:26 PM

Sounds like he will be the guy when he gets back. Sounds good for us Tate owners.

I other Brown RB news

quote:

Crowell took the first reps in individual drills during the portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Spin: Terrance West, who has started the last two games in place of Ben Tate (knee), went second. An undrafted rookie out of Alabama State, Crowell has averaged 5.2 yards per carry on 27 attempts with three touchdowns through three games, and he indicated he's eager to take on a larger role in the offense. Coach Mike Pettine suggested Crowell will get his wish, saying "If a guy's been productive, you find ways to get him on the field more," but Tate is still expected to return to his starting role once healthy. The Browns are on bye in Week 4.

My M/TV board team couldn't be happier. My WRs are doing extremely well, just need a kick from my RBs

Somebody just dropped him in my 10 team PPR league, would you roster him over any of these?

QBs: Foles, Cutler
RBs: Charles, Lacy, Gio Bernard, Davis, Pierre Thomas
WRs: Maclin, Garcon, Patterson, Welker, Gordon
TE: Ertz, Paul

I guess Pierre maybe? He's the only one I feel like might be outscored by Tate when he's starting. I'm not dropping Davis in case Charles goes down again, and I'm 3-0, so Gordon could help me lock up a championship/

Have him starting tonight, so I can't. Had Pitta as my TE but he's broke again.
