Governors raising lots of money from corporate America--

Can you imagine how utterly disgusting a reception hosted by narcissists like the republican Jindal or democrat Cuomo would be as they tried to suck up corporate money??
These 501(c)(4) organizations can pretty much do what they want. I wonder how many employ--wink wink--former politicians that gave them what they wanted while they were in office??
Seems the republicans erroneously leaked some of the activities of their governor's pac. The NYT reports on the leak today. LINK
Is there any wonder corporate welfare is rampant??
Do you really think republicans are going to end subsidies going to private health insurance companies when you see them getting so much money from insurance companies? Those health companies bribe both parties and have made billions under Obamacare.

Seriously, you need to see a psychiatrist about your Jindal obsession.

Hey IBF, the state has a "Entertainment Industry Development Advisory Commission" which is chaired by the trusty JP Morrell.
Of course the meeting is at Celtic studios. You should tune in.

If they didn't call Deltaland Catfish, probably not.

Isn't that disgusting?
I read how they raised the money for that large studio they are building. The guy that put it together sold partnerships to foreigners. Seems you can get permanent visas if you invest in business deals of certain nature. Many of the investors are Arabs who I doubt even care if the studio ever makes money.

Put Jindal on it and Choctaw thinks it is just great.
Gold standard of ethics.

Well the Dem.'s take money from big Unions and Trial Lawyers and Leftists/Socialists Environmentalists. I remember the big Union leaders going around and giving $30,000 to OTHER Senators to vote with them. I mean CASH, checks also were given, but, cash too. The businesses will not give to a candidate favorable to Unions and the EPA, that's anti-capitalist bad. So, it's a swap out.

You read that and decided the content was about Jindal?
Jindal pertains to this only to the extent that he is slimy career politician regardless of his efforts to wrap himself in the cloak of ethics reform.
With the volumes of campaign laws on the books there are still avenues to bribes.
Ray Nagin was so stupid to do what he did. I suspect today he sits in prison and reads crap like the NYT article and ponders the differences between Bobby entertaining for multi million dollar bribes under Vegas' Eiffel Tower and him getting $50000 worth of marble for a construction company.

Of course.
Those guys give to Republicans too. Friggin EPA is the tool of large chemical companies. Same for the FDA and drug companies.
Bobby if you will remember hired a big time out of state trial lawyer leech to represent the state against BP. Don't think that happened without some big money getting contributed to something near and dear to the Governor.

Jindal's brother works for the largest entertainment law and lobbying firm in the country--Gibson Dunn. They also represent BP. You don't think that is a coincidence do you?

There's a list of examples that show Jindal as a fraud and panderer to whatever is best for him and his political career.
I wouldn't tout this as one of them since such money raising, unfortunately, is required to get a campaign anywhere. It would have been nice, though, had he actually been visible, accessible and engaging at the Capitol during legislative sessions the past couple years, but oh well. That ship has sailed.
