Memphis police cornered a suspect in a portable toilet on a construction site. It was how they got the suspect out that is out of the ordinary.

An officer tipped it over. Next, they cleared the three neighboring toilets before flipping the first portable toilet right side up.

Fifty-seven seconds into the video, the man emerges from the john, takes a boot to the rear, and ends up in handcuffs.

It all happened at the construction site for the new International Paper building. Both IP and property managers say what happened is strictly a police matter.

Investigators identify the suspect as Joseph Hampton, who was wanted for criminal trespassing and evading arrest. MPD launched an administrative investigation into the situation, and the four cops were relieved of duty.

People who saw the video of the officer tipping over the portable toilet had mixed reviews.

"They already had him cornered," said J.D. Littlejohn. "They ain't had to turn it over."

"He could've been armed," James Almond added. "He could've come out and shot one of them. They all got families and kids to think about."

Police say the man who was arrested has not filed any complaints about the matter.

All cops involved were fired. Obviously a shitty situation for everybody involved.

If I was a the cop, I would've found the nearest water hose to hose his shitty self down before he could get into my patrol car.

Assault with a bodily fluid, broham.

If someone can be arrested for spitting on a cop and charged with that, those idiots should face the same punishment.

They'll only be fired though.

Once you decide to run from the cops, I think you should accept that when they catch up it won't be a peaceful arrest.

I used to race motocross with a guy whose wife raced too. She was a country girl, but pretty damn good looking. They had some nasty port-a-potties at the track, and some kids flipped one while she was in it. I would have killed those little bastards if I knew who did it.

Some of our troop tipped one of our own guys over in one at a Boy Scout Jamboree in Jackson, in the early 70's.

I don't know about this man. Some of the porta-potties I have been in are fricking terrible. No way I would hide in one in the first place. Those cops don't give a shite about people that's for sure.

I had a project manager that came to the site one time and he had to shite really bad. He got in and didn't want to sit down so he shite leaning over. That stupid sob had explosive diarrhea and shite all over the walls. It was the only pp we had too. He left it like that for weeks. My foreman wouldn't even go in there and was forced to shite in a bucket inside the trailer.
